Our new gym

....or what there is of it so far!
We have asked for this for a long time as there has never been a "real" gym on the rig. We had some equipment down in one of the spaces at one point but it didn't last long.

We don't have much in the way of recreation, there is a TV room but it's limited channels (mostly Indian) and that's about it. Us ex-pats usually depend on our own laptops and movie/ TV collections on hard drives for entertainment.
I go running on our helideck every few days but a gym will be a welcome addition for the whole rig.

Our gym is being fabricated onshore, it would have been too noisy to have it built on the rig as this area is right above some cabins and it would have disturbed those sleeping. Our welders built this support frame and we moved it into place, so once the gym is ready it will be sent out by boat. We will lift it onboard into place, secure it, connect the power cables and then fill it with the gym equipment that we ordered and have onboard ready to go. Easy money :-)
