Sunset Reflected
This is a much-cropped view from our 4th floor apartment in Paris 13e, looking east. It's one of many windows (perhaps also on the 4th floor) of a large primary school opposite us. There seems to be one pane, which must be reflecting two very distorted images of disc of the setting sun (totally behind us). We could see the reflections move--just the way the setting sun moves. For the curious, the time of the shot was exactly 18:49. This blip shows the building--the window is the fourth from the right (fifth from the left).
Our outing today was to the Paris Magnum exhibition at the Hôtel de Ville (town hall), featuring images of Paris by photographers of the Magnum photo agency, from the 1930s to the present. It was excellent, although I have to say I enjoyed the photos from 1930 to 1960 or so considerably more than most of the later ones.
