On Ragleth Hill
One of my favourite walks, and also a favourite view - this particular line of wind-bowed hawthorn trees, and the landscape behind that they frame so well, rarely fails to stop me in my tracks and induce a photo or two, or three, especially at sunset, and then it becomes apparent I just need to get a bit closer across the slope to find the point where the foreground and background drop into position just right - and somewhere at the back of my mind is the nagging thought that it's twelve minutes past six, and I'm still on top of the hill, and the train back to Shrewsbury leaves in twenty minutes down there in the town below. It's amazing though how much quicker it is coming down a steep hill compared to walking up on - we made it back to the station with five minutes to spare.
