Philip

A very good friend, who has been an amazing support to me out here, had an operation during last week and is still recuperating in hospital. Today was the first day she felt ready for a visitor.

She is being very well cared for in l'hopital universitaire de Geneve. We have been sending her lots of positive vibes, chatty messages and supplies and really hope that her recovery from this operation and subsequent treatment goes well. She is being incredibly brave!

It is the first time I have been back to this hospital since Philip and I had his last visit here when we were told they did not have enough data for him to be entered onto the medical trial. It was this news that changed some of the positivity that Philip had shown through out his illness - it was a real blow to us both and it seemed like our last hope had been swept from under us.

Although the buildings look old and tired from the outside the inside is mostly refurbished, spotlessly clean and everyone is friendly.
