Female Mallard

It has been so cold today...absolutely freezing! When is spring ever going to come :-(
My poor car is sick, and had to go to the garage after work, so Mr U&L and I took the opportunity to take Freddy with us when we took it in, and walk him home through the park. 
Freddy was delighted to go on a new walk, and spent the whole time sniffing every tree, every blade of grass, every post, he came across..........it was a long walk!
Today's blip is a lovely female mallard, preening beside the park pond. I love the way her tail is fanned out so you can see all the feathers.
I hope it warms up tomorrow!!
