Only Bar Open
Decided, in the end, to stay a second night in Odeiceixe, and do a circuit walk - partly so we could wash AND dry some clothes.
Did around 13km, to the coast; then along the tops of sea cliffs; then back on an inland route, along an irrigation channel. This Vicentina Route was set up in 2012, through the most unspoiled part of southern Europe, and the least inhabited coastal region in Portugal. Certainly, for most of the way, we saw no-one, and no other walkers.
The walk along the cliff tops was stunning - so many flowers of different colours, and the views of black rock headlands, striped with white, with storks nesting on the tops, and turquoise waves pounding way below - just incredible.
But, in the end, this photo won the blip honour - of M with an amazing trompe-l'oeil at a closed kiosk - in fact, there was not a single establishment open yet at the beach, so it was a good job we'd taken a picnic lunch.
