Between fen and mountains

Tributary

Even the dry tributaries are running fast now.  It has been pouring down again.  I spent the morning examining the wall that is still running with water.  The water board dug up the street and supposedly fixed the problem In January when I was away but as soon we started using water the problem reappeared.  They now claim that it cannot be their responsibility as they have replaced a pipe which joins a pipe that is just under the house.  I am maintaining that when they did the work they should have joined the two pipes correctly even if the joint is just on my property.  Today, I have had to talk to the water board, the company that owns the sewage system, a local Maire and the insurance company to see if the insurance will cover any responsibility I may have but this seems unlikely.  It is getting into dispute territory and is a bit of a nightmare.  Better news is that I showed the organist of Vinca and Perpignan our newly rebuilt organ and he is prepared to do a summer concert.  I have a meeting with a councillor at the tourist office tomorrow to discuss the series of concerts the Mairie is planning which hopefully might generate enough income to buy a heating system next year.  In the afternoon it was French conversation.  With all these negotiations I certainly need all the practice and help I get there.
