Cut and run.........

Cormorant!
I was standing on the riverbank, doing my usual kingfisher surveillance, when this cormorant, complete with fish in beak, popped out of a feeder pipe almost right beside me! It was flapping and splashing about and nearly scared the living daylights out of me, so much so, I couldn't get my camera sorted in time so I missed that shot, and only caught it, in its haste, taking off up the river!

Not quite the shot I had had in mind, but not the worst I've ever taken ;-)

Spent some time with mum and sis today too....lunch, usual shopping.......had tea with mum before driving back home.
