Ballet Bookworm

Not a lot of sleep was had last night due to Monkey's toothache. Rang the dentist first thing, earliest we could be seen was 16.45! I explained he wasn't eating or sleeping so they agreed to contact me if there were any cancellations. By 09.00 we had a 12.30 appt.

So it turns out the Monkey now has an abcess in the tooth where he had the filling. He now has antibiotics and a referral for an extraction, but is still in pain and still not eating. Poor boy.

He was feeling so sorry for himself that he decided not to go to tennis as running makes the pain worse. That's when I knew it was really bad.

Carys went to ballet as normal. It was watching week, which was nice. I had a chat with the Principal after and found out Carys will do the Grade 2 exam in June. Her teacher feels she is too young to do grade 3 and more importantly needs to strengthen up before doing it and heading into grade 4. I am more than happy with that as I could see tonight that Carys is not at her normal exam standard in grade 3 and if she took it she might pass but it wouldn't be at her usual level which would lead to disappointment and loss of confidence. Carys is happy to as she has always thought that she was only pretending to be a grade 3 anyway.
