What I should have done.

Returned the hire car this morning and had to make my way back home by public transport. Never that easy from the outskirts of Kirkcaldy at the best of times. Already waiting at the bus stop when I arrived was an old lady about to head home once her bus turned up. Within the five minutes it took for my bus to arrive I had discovered that her husband had died many years ago before he was sixty five, she had four sons, two of whom worked in Dubai, another had recently taken a redundancy package from the local council and the other one lived in Glasgow. She still goes through to visit him and stays at the Premier Inn when she does and also has been out to Dubai on several occasions.

I should have asked her name and taken her photograph. That's what I should have done. But I didn't. So instead you have before you the architectural delights of the Beacon leisure centre at Burntisland.

A much less interesting subject for the day.
