On Being A Godfather ...

It was mine and Dawn's honour and privilege to become Godparents to my niece, Maisie today. We, along with Sarah's (my sis in law and pictured) sister and brother in law attended her christening at St Michaels Church in Walford, Ross on Wye.

It was a glorious day in all senses of the word. The church service was lovely, and by coincidence they got christened on Whit Sunday, which was the traditional time Christians got baptised.

The sun shone on the whole day, if anything it was too hot when we decamped to the Hope and Anchor in Ross on Wye for a few welcomed ciders and buffet.

It's amazing watching Maisie grow up now, she is quite a character and was impeccably well behaved all day. When you look at my blip entry from about a year ago you can see how much she has altered!
