Chemo Take 2

Sorry, but this is actually a huge thing that's happening in my life at the moment!

Geraldine got her second dose today of what the administering nurse (Doreen) jokingly called red wine. I cant remember the name of this red one, but next session will be exactly the same.

We set off early, Geraldine having made a packed lunch for us. (The Cancer Centre is in the middle of nowhere!) The journey there and back seemed much quicker today for some reason - we must be getting use to it. Only 4 more to go and then radiotherapy, but that's another story! All seems well at the moment.

Got home and finally watched first episode of Downton Abbey. (Geraldine's been given the DVD box-set as a present for having to go through chemo!)

I flew to the UK on the night of the first one so didn't experience the full reaction to the medicine. I shall find out over the next few days... hmmm...

There IS a huge silver lining on the horizon. More tomorrow...
