Pink or cerise?

I was in Carlisle today and while I was having a coffee at lunchtime I noticed a pink/cerise van in the distance, and I realised that it was the Labour party's Woman to Woman campaign van.  I went across to investigate and discovered that Harriet Harman MP was there chatting to members of the public.  As to the colour of the van- pink or cerise- is it sexist and patronising?  Personally I'm not bothered in this case, I don't feel patronised or insulted and it does stand out, plus it gave me today's blip.
