The circle of life

This is my youngest nephew holding the flowers.

Today I attended the funeral of my oldest uncle (my mother's brother) who recently passed away at the age of 89.

He lived a full and wonderful life.  He was a great family man and he and his his wife adopted two children into their home along with one biological daughter.

He was fortunate to have passed away quietly in his home surrounded by family and friends.

He has now passed, but his memory will continue on.

This picture of my youngest nephew at the cemetery just reminds me that life goes on.

I am grateful for the example of service and dedication to family I have been given by my extended family members, like this beloved uncle.
