Ancient simplicity.

Post school drop off (for Harry), I met up with a College friend to walk around the Stones at Avebury. We completed the walk in warm sunshine and met a smiley American grandad on the way, keen to say Hello!. 

Returning to the car, the same genial guy was leaning against my car, waiting to load his family into his. Clearly not local, and recognising us from the walk, he was interested to find out if we had travelled far. About five minutes we replied..... 
He ventured the opinion that, though lucky to have the Stones on our doorstep,  we were unusual in visiting local sites of interest. Perhaps we are. I told him I visit almost fortnightly, which surprised him even more!
