Light and Shade

Bigger light and shade

I've been in a reflective mood much of the last few days, offence has been caused (though I suspect the person causing it did so unintentionally, without thinking). I'm not too easily offended, but it was something rather 'below-the-belt'. Do I need such thoughtless 'friends'? That's the question I'm currently asking myself, trying to be logical and objective, to see the scenario from both sides ......
It's been another glorious day - without any wind at all, not even the slightest breeze. So lunchtime I really couldn't be bothered to do a serious blip-hunt, and went to sit in the shade between the roots of my 'Ent' pals again and just ruminate, turn things over in my mind. I came away none the wiser though! lol
Unlike Friday (when there was a brisk wind) today the leaves were still, and where the sunlight was able to break through them it formed static, mottled patterns on the ground. I loved the contrast of the light and dark and decided to take some shots, to see if any of them were nice enough to blip when uploaded to my laptop at home.
I settled on a shortlist of shots, and made copies also in black and white. But I settled on this colour shot as nature, as with so many things in life, isn't just a matter of black and white is it?
