Muted Tones
Autumn colours this year are likely to be muted. This is because the summer drought conditions stressed trees such as willows along the banks of the Taylor River. Consequently they dropped many leaves over the late summer. Although it is only the start of autumn the colours are more muted than in previous years. The river is dry in this scene looking downstream towards the distant Richmond Range.
