farewell Sydney
It’s our last day in Sydney; what to do? There is so much to see and so little time. We go for the old ‘what to do if you’re only here for a short time’ standby that features in every guide book and take a harbour cruise.
I may not be good with heights (thereby ruling out the Bridge walk) but I am more than happy on a boat. In fact I positively relish a life on the ocean waves. Which is just as well because the cruise takes us past all the familiar landmarks and out into the open sea at the harbour entrance. The swell picks up and a few people start to wobble and hang on before we head back to the shelter of the inland waterways.
The view of Sydney from the water is stunning and people snap away like there’s no tomorrow. Which includes us, because early tomorrow morning we catch the train to Melbourne.
Thank you Sydney - we really hope to see you again.
