I love technology, particularly that offered by Apple.

There I said it. Haters need not reply.

The most recent reminder of this affection was yesterday morning when my daughter was able to show her grandparents (300 miles away) the presents she received for her birthday via the stupendously easy to use FaceTime.

They were also able to see her delighted face when she opened the present from them.

Small thing, I know, but on a special day it brought people who live a long way apart a great deal closer.
