On the road to Mondulkiri
We take a mini bus to Saen Monourom in the Mondulkiri province of Cambodia today. Although not packed to the rafters for a change its a hair raising and bumpy five and a half hours but we arrive safely. Saen Monourom is north west of Phnom Penh and we have come here to do some trekking and visit the Mondulkiri Project. We telephone our guest house and Mrs Tree picks us up in the most battered car you have ever seen with bolts to close the boot.
The accommodation is called Tree Lodge and is a really nice eco tourist site with bungalows. Ours is large and has its own bathroom with a groovy stone floor and half the jungle inside it. Lets hope there's not too many bugs here tonight although we have a mosquito net so we should be alright.
We have a lazy afternoon, eat at the Lodge and get an early night as we are seeing the elephants at the Mondulkiri Project tomorrow.
