Hampden Hall Stoke Mandeville

I called here to have a quick look around as it is somewhere that I used to work back in the 90s. Its boarded up & fenced off & is expected to be demolished at some stage to make way for housing. Having previously worked for the County Council my team was privatised in 1996 & we transferred here in 1997. We spent several years here working on the BCC Service contract in the private sector charging more for the same work. The company that initially won the contract was a division of Welsh Water and amazingly despite many years since the contract ended their name is still on a sign outside the entrance.

Down the docs this am for a (DIY) blood test then back home.
