Blast from the past!

We came across this wee girl quite by chance. It is actually an old APD collection box that we didn't know still existed.

The collection box was sealed so no longer collecting loose change and seems to now be just an ornament and an indication of just how old the privately owned traditional grocery store is and the history it contains.

It's a dangerous place for me to go though as it is chock full of goodies from home, not to mention one of the best cheese counters in the city.
