Workhouse Chapel

Douglas chapel was part of Holywell workhouse which was built in 1834, the workhouse later became Lluesty Hospital.

I came across this list of people who worked here and who were 'inmates' back in 1881. 

Now in this politically correct age we thankfully no longer use words like 'idiot or imbecile'
