BACKBLIP alert!

On hindsight, I am now glad we were able to visit this before the Arab Spring.  I'm sure many of you have seen it for real, and they've been shot a zillion times, but I still enjoy looking at it and remembering our time there.  We'd just been to The Philippines the summer before (2009) and we had enjoyed it so much we decided we wanted to go on this way and see even more of the world.

One place we haven't been to yet is Abu Simbel but now that there's so much trouble in the Middle East, those places have sunk to the bottom of the list.  Oh well ... these monuments will forever be stuck in our memories.
