Work in progress
This used to be a bakery. It wasn't a very good bakery, so it's not greatly missed, especially as a much better one has opened nearby. It's been empty for a while but recently someone's started work on it. A few years ago, before we had broadband in our village, we bought a ruin in Lézignan and renovated it to use as an office. I still remember that chill, sinking feeling in my stomach not long after the builders started work and we found ourselves standing in a shell with no roof, no floors, no stairs, no doors, and no windows, wondering what on earth we had done. That's what this looks like now, except it does still have the lovely original windows upstairs. No effort has been made to secure the site, and after an initial flurry of activity, work seems to have stopped.
I've been avoiding the topic here, but there's been some discussion on Facebook of Blipfoto's new owners. I found this page on Bobby Sager's site an interesting insight into his philosophy -- he's more than just a corporate suit.
Oh, and this day last year: one of my favourite ever blips.
