Heat haze over Shiddaw

When I phoned Mum in the morning she thought she was getting home later so I prepared to go home with her in the afternoon.
It was very hot again but I still went for a run over a route I didn't know which was quite hilly. It was about 5miles but I had to walk for several short sections to cool down after having run up the hills!
When we got to the hospital in the afternoon Mum told us they had decided not to let her home and even speaking to the doctor to askwhat they were actually achieving by keeping her there ("monitoring") didn't get her out.
So my nephew drove us to Keswick to get some more things for her from the house and the hills were very hazy - though the best views weren't by laybys - and I got this view from the house.
Then, after delivering the various things to her, it was a return to my sister's.
