Moving!

Mixed emotions...

Mum is moving home from a five bedroom house to a two bedroom retirement apartment.

Mum moved here in 1995 when she and my Dad were sprightly in their late sixties. Now, Mum is on her own at 88 and this is seventy miles away from me (her only kid) and mine.

So the past few weeks have been spent clearing/donating/selling enough things to enable us to squeeze her belongings into a smaller place.

On the positive side, she is a very gregarious girl so will enjoy the company in the new retirement development.
