Flowers For Today

I bought some flowers on Sunday, intending to photograph one of them, as I so often do. Today I like how they looked as a bouquet so I went against my usual style and photographed the bunch before they all past their best.

So, the War of the Roses goes on! Not content that their King, the last of the House of York, who died in the War of the Roses 530 years ago, had been rescued from a grave marked appropriately by an R in a reserved place in a Leicester car park, to have a ceremonial burial in Leicester Cathedral today, the people of York want to dig him up again and move him to York.

I feel proud that the stone for the tomb was supplied by a firm in our town.
