a late afternoon walk 8
lately i have been thinking about color. how we perceive color. a favorite blipper of mine cannot get enough pigment in his photos. i love their exuberance. i, on the other hand, see shades of grey as significant color. i went through my posted blips in both journals. out of 397 blips, 27 have been converted to black and white. the rest are in color. (obviously, i didn't get the memo for mono monday!) still, i believe many would probably recognize my blips as being in black and white. (yesterday's blip - would you guess it's in color?)
today i headed once again up the stream trail, this time determined to find some distinct (non-grey) color. it was overcast and drizzling which didn't help matters. i stopped at hints of lichen, birch bark, moss. there was no sunlight to make anything sparkle. i finally decided on this grouping of lichen and moss. i liked the mingling of the many greens. perhaps green is the new grey.
