Dead tree

We decided to take Mish for a walk in the park this afternoon, but there were far too many children around the lake for Mish’s comfort, so we drove further into the park where it’s a lot quieter.
 
I spotted this old tree by the side of the road and was struck by the lovely patterns and shapes in its venerable old trunk.
