A day of garden centres!

Probably the hottest day of the year here. Stifling by 10 o'clock. Had a mission today to sort out possible planters for the front of church. We want something to brighten it up for our special weekend in July but also for the town's Jubilee celebrations this weekend.

Treated myself to breakfast at the garden centre then had a look round. Some lovely plants but didn't buy any as it was the planters I was looking for. Finally found some suitable candidates and bought them on the understanding I could return them if they didn't look right in situ.

Then called at a smaller nursery on the way home and found this fabulous colour combination of brilliant blue Salvia and apricot Heuchera. Would have loved to buy them but they weren't really what is needed.

Tested the planters out at church and they look good so then had to got to another garden centre to get the plants!! It's lovely spending money on behalf of someone else. Had a ball!
