A letter

Today I received a letter in the post from a very dear friend of mine. We met 20 years ago when I was university for my first year. She was my best friend and we were inseparable. She was from the USA and went back there at the end of my first year. We have kept in touch ever since, writing and emailing and every few years meeting up in random places like Paris.  I love receiving her letters. It is a rare occurrence to receive a proper hand written letter these days and it is a pleasure to read it.   I can't believe it was twenty years ago that we first met! Where have the years gone?!
