Ready To Go

The paddleboards were all lined up, glowing along the beach in the foggy morning. "Are you with our early group?" asked the guide. Oh dear, no. How I'd love to though. It's always looked like such fun to be standing out there on the water without a care in the world. If I could start out in the standing position I might stand half a chance, but getting up from a good solid kneel just won't ever happen. My knees hurt, I'm not very strong, don't swim very well, and get seasick on anything that moves. But I have really good balance. That must count for something.
