Don't Eat That!

Mrs TD has been house/dog sitting for the last couple of weeks, but having a patchwork engagement, left me in charge today. During a quiet half hour, having filled the bird feeders, I sat in the sun room for a while, waiting for the birds to come. This hedge sparrow was the only visitor but he eschewed the food and grovelled about on the floor. He doesn't actually intend to try and eat this piece of gravel but is moving out of the way, I assume that there was a tasty morsel of something underneath. These blighters move a bit quickly, as can be seen by the blur on his stone and some of the grey plumage around his head while some of the out of focus background is a little disturbing.
