Spring arrived?
Spring arrives very late here in Bavaria and even more so on our property. Plants are often in flower in the village, at least 10 days before they appear in our garden. One of the downsides of living on the edge of the forest.
These are our first crocuses. The one's in the lawn are only just poking out their heads.. Spent the day cleaning up and managed to find a few aconites and even a primula. The dafs ought to be out next week. The tulips have leaves but no heads yet.
So so day, Angie rode out and said it was bitter cold when out of the forest in unprotected countryside. It was bearable in the sheltered garden. So much to do and no time. Don't think the visitors will be too bothered, will have to try and be out and about as much as possible.
Mr & MrsB popped around with a trailer load of garden furniture destined for the dump (us). Very nice wooden bench and some useful chairs and a table. We always have a problem in spring and autumn moving furniture around the sides of the house to follow the sun. These additions are very welcome - thanks the Bs.
