Where there's muck there's gold

Scientists at the US Geological Survey believe that it is now commercially viable to extract gold and precious metals from sewage sludge!

This chap on a baker’s wall in Goslar , Germany  seems to have hit the motherlode but for most of us it won’t be that easy.

I calculate that it would take 5 million kilos of sludge to produce 2 kilos of gold, 140 kilos of silver, 245 kilos of vanadium and 3190 kilos of copper.

That’s quit a lot of sludge so you might like to get friends and relatives to chip in with the raw materials.
