So Long...

...thirty years, in fact.  It's been a long journey indeed since Jeremy, Adrian, Barry and I first walked into The Langham when it was still a BBC building.  We were starting out on our operational careers in radio, on the Radio Sound Assistants P85/2 training course.  Three years later, after learning our trade in the studios of the World Service, News, Sport and Domestic Radio, we were reunited on our Studio Managers Q (Qualifying) course.  It's been a rollercoaster ride since those early days, with many highs and lows, and it was with great regret that I said my farewells to many dear colleagues past and present at my retirement party last night in Broadcasting House.

So long, and thanks for all the fun!
