Snow on the High Tops
It wasn't the nicest weather in which to set off for a short holiday up on the Moray Coast. There was drizzle in Edinburgh, low clouds in Fife obscuring all but the high ground and forests, sun in The Highlands, and enveloping brown clouds of topsoil being blown off the newly ploughed fields up in Moray. The constant factor was the strong westerly gale force winds which had whipped the sea into a frenzy of white horses and threatened to alter the course of the car on several occasions.
As I sit in our cottage on the shore, I can hear the wind buffeting the outside walls. It is good to be inside in the warmth.
This bleak picture was taken at Dalnaspidal, where the contrast of the remaining snow on the wet black rock of the mountain caught my attention.
