Trying something new
Well it is to me, anyway, it's called dry brush painting.
Very simple: all you need are the following items
Pencil
Soft Eraser
Watercolour Paper
Sheet of kitchen Roll
Different sized brushes for area and detail.
A tube of Black Oil paint
Begin by drawing a pencil outline on the paper.
Squeeze a pea sized blob of the black oil paint onto the sheet of kitchen roll.
Dip the end of a brush into the paint then wipe most of it off again on the kittchen roll, leaving just a small amount that will leave a faint trace on your drawing.
Paint the image using layer after layer of the thin paint, which is dry immediately so you don't have to wait before painting over a previous layer.
Be patient and the density of the paint will build up.
The painting took me about two hours to draw and paint.
(Well it was my first attempt)
Have fun!
