A Host Of Daffodils

It was not our intention to attend the Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society Flower Show this afternoon (also on tomorrow from 12 noon-5pm) but, having attended a coffee morning, shopped and lunched, we proceeded to the Botanics - which were firmly closed to the public on account of the gale force winds forecast. At the gate helpful guides proffered fliers for the show and directed us to the venue nearby, deep within the bowels of the Botanics' office block, through the staff coffee room and into the Fletcher Building, normally accessed from the garden.

There we were met with a vast array of daffodils of all shapes and sizes, displayed singly, as these two, in single groups, mixed bunches, potted up...you name it, they were there: all other species and floral art displays taking a back seat. I could not make out the variety label of the bloom on the right, possibly 'Autumna' or similar; that on the left, also the thumbnail, is 'Park Springs'. Impossible to choose a favourite.
