Brought to book

Our lovely books editor gave me a pressie today, a DC comics collection of Nineties Batman stories on which the upcoming (no doubt typically joyless) Christopher Nolan film The Dark Knight Rises is based. Some of the strips are good, a few awful ... but I'll take them over Christian Bale's Batman any day.
