It stormed off and on all day.

I love riding in the rain. I'm not so much a fan of thunder storms in the woods but our choices were ride out and take a chance or sit under the awning and play scrabble. We opted for rain gear and the ride.

The lighting was cloud to cloud, the thunder rumbled high above. Only one spook when a tree branch came down with the wind and sent Shane spinning. With my horse Joey, I'd have been on the ground, but Shane is such a gentle guy, he just swooped away and stopped as soon as I picked up the rein.

The storms had moved out by the time we got back to camp and it turned into a lovely early summer evening to be camping.
