Banger racing

Haven't done this for years. It was such a laugh, freezing cold mind! This is the first of three races for the Reliant Robins, and as you can see they are pretty smashed up before they started. Several of them flipped onto their roof, but the marshals qickly pushed them up right again.

Great respect for the marshals and staff. During one saloon race one car damaged the safety barrier, in 10 minutes it was taken down, straightened out and fixed back in! Also one race was slightly delayed starting as one of the drivers teams had decided after race two to put a new engine in the car so it could continue in race five and wasn't quite ready!

Night of madness and carnage, especially at the demolition derby, but I haven't laughed so much in ages.
