A little ray of sunshine
Backblip. Our annual trip to view the wild dafs at Brigsteer Woods was almost a wash out but we did manage a quick circiut before the heavens opened. We drove to a view point for our lunch and sat in the car like 'Dicky and Dolly' steaming up the car windows (from our flask before anyone thinks lurid thoughts). Our planned walk over Scout Scar was abandoned but as it was brighter Arnside way we decamped to walk around the coastal path. In the brief hour that the grey sky cleared and the sun poked out we arrived at one of my fav spots along the coast path where the wild dafs cloak the woodland floor in yellow. Mission accomplished.
