Packing a promise.

So many rhododendrons in flower now but I must Blip something else!

I don't take enough notice of what's beginning to flower - some expanding buds are amazing, as is this tree peony. Paeonia ludlowii (until recently Paeonia lutea var. ludlowii) comes from SE Tibet and with us makes a shrub some 4-5ft high. They're never as good as I've seen elsewhere as they invariably lose some tips each winter, but when the yellow flowers open it's worthwhile!
