In The Pink

These flowers are part of a basket of roses and jasmine which was a present on Mothering Sunday. They are quite small but have a lovely aroma and are lasting really well. Last night I stayed at my daughter's home as it was her birthday and about 3 am I was awoken by a strange noise which I thought was the wind howling. I got up to fetch a drink then realised the noise was coming from behind my bed and there, fast asleep and loudly snoring was my daughter's little dog Vinnie ( aged 13) It was a shame to wake him and it took a bit of coaxing to send him back to his own bed. I think  that because of all the family about earlier he'd found a quiet place to sleep. Sadly it was him or me and I won !
