West Tanfield from the Marmion Tower
We ventured out for lunch today followed by a short walk along the river Ure at West Tanfield.
This photo was taken through the window on the first floor of the Marmion Tower - a 15th century gatehouse which belonged to the now vanished manor house and former home of the Marmion family.
The tower is a ruin although it is a grade I listed building.
