Simon and the Oaks

Saw another SIFF film and it is an honest to God good story, WWII in Sweden, two boys growing up in two families that cooperate in raising them. Lots more to it than that: music, a powerful tree, prejudice, difference, love, acceptance. Quite well told and other than the heavy breathers and popcorn bag crunchers scattered to near for my keen hearing it was a perfect film night.
