Leebitten

The morning started fine and then a few showers came in, even a wintery shower at lunchtime.  The afternoon has been bright and sunny and with the clocks going forward, we've had a lovely sunny and bright evening :)

Up early, even with the clocks going forward :)  Poor Sammy is a sad dog today with Rob off to a new home.  Mam has given up working with sheep and Rob is a working collie, he's off to a new croft and we'll get to see him on trips north :)  I've been out snapping more photos for the book.  I down at Sumburgh to at the time it was too cloudy, I managed some photos and walkies around Sandwick on my way home.
I got called into work this evening in the pub.  I arrived and it was mobbed, first thing you see in 50+ men all in trackie bottoms from the barges!  Now time for more walkies before putting my feet up for the night :)

Leebitten is a lovely old part of Sandwick and used to house workers for the copper mines and the lovely old Sandlodge House along the shore.  I'm not sure of the history of the building but think it would have been a lairds house.  You wouldn't think there would be much changes here at Leebitten but you'd be surprised but not many changes on the isle of Mousa behind, and see if you can spot Mousa Broch.
