Memorial Day

A snapshot from Washington D.C.'s Memorial Day parade; I believe these soldiers are navy, but perhaps someone can confirm that?

We spent most of the day downtown with our visitors, going around monuments and watching this rather impressive parade (which we'd never attended in almost 30 years in D.C.!) It was crazy hot (94 degrees) and humid: a day to compete with the best that August usually offers...

Tomorrow: retreating to the cool AC environment of a shopping mall! :)
